（2） Connection of power supply

① The second step in installing a light strip at home is actually to install the power supply. Our light strips usually have a power supply reserved on the top panel, and we control it through the indoor light switch, so our second step is to connect the power supply of the light strip. You can follow the following steps to complete it.

② The voltage of common LED light strips is generally 12V, so specific power sources are required for power supply. At this point, the size of the power supply is selected based on the power and length of our light strip. At this point, it is generally a circuit light strip, and using a power supply is basically possible. Of course, we can also use a main power supply for control. In this case, we need to purchase a high-power switching power supply as the main power supply, and then connect all the LED light strips in parallel with the input power supply. The biggest advantage of this is that it can be centrally controlled. In addition, it is necessary to light up and control the switch of a single circuit, and at this point, we choose based on the light strip we install.

（3） Connection of the controller

① LED light strips, like the ones we commonly see, usually have different controllers during installation. This controller is used to achieve various color transformation effects. For different light strips, the control distance of each controller varies. The most common simple controller we use typically controls a distance of 10-15m, while the remote control controller has a distance of approximately 15-20m and can reach a maximum of 30m. For household light strip controllers, it is also important to make a reasonable choice.

③ Select suggestions. For the light strips installed in home decoration, we usually need to consider the length of the light strips. In fact, for families, it is usually 10-15m, and longer ones are 15-20m, so there won't be too long ones. So just purchase the regular matching controller. But if there are really particularly long light strips, a power amplifier needs to be used for decomposition.

① We must pay attention to some issues with the light strips installed at home. Because the installation and fixation of the light strip is indeed very simple, but if the installation does not meet the requirements, it may lead to problems with the overall lighting of the light strip, especially causing the LED light strip to heat up. Over time, it will burn our ceiling position. So these are all things we need to pay attention to.

① The connection distance of LED light strips should be controlled reasonably. For example, the LED strip and connection distance of the 3528 series, which we commonly see, cannot exceed 20m at most. If it is a 5050 series LED strip, the longest connection distance cannot exceed 15m. So when installing light strips at home, we need to control their length reasonably based on the light strip we have chosen.

② Each light strip must be equipped with a dedicated plug. Like plugs that come with transformers, we can remove the transparent plastic cover during installation, connect it, and finally cover it, so as not to easily cause short circuits. The key point that everyone should pay attention to here is that it is absolutely forbidden to directly connect with a cover, otherwise it may cause a short circuit.
